After a rough loss agains the Los Angeles Lakers in game 1 of the
series, the Thunder came into this one a little bit morealert and
active, finishing the first quarter with a 26-22 lead, which gave the
Thunder fans some hope that an upset could be in the works.
As
fate would have it, the Lakers came out firing in the second quarter
winning it 33-21 and reverting the advvantage into their favor.
After
the half, the Lakers came right out of the gate with another flurry of
points in the third, winning 29-21, which, in hindsight, was basically
where the game was won.
Come the fourth quarter, the expectations
were that the famous 4th quarter comeback of the 2k engie would set in
to try and balance out the game, and to a certain extent it was there,
but it wasn't a massive one. OKC won that quarter 25-21, but it was too
little too late.
In the end, this game wasn't as bad of a loss as
the first one, but still the Lakers seem to be in cruise control at
this point with comfortable wins so far with no
Jonas Valanciunas
patrolling the OKC basket.
There are rumblings that he might not
be a go for game 3 either, which might make the outcome look bleak for
the OKC side, but they are a resilient bunch and will fight till the
whistle.
Mason Plumlee was the high point man for the Lakers with 20 and 17 rebounds and
Jimmy Butler added 17 for OKC.
Game 3 promises to be good as OKC has their first home game.It will be at 10 pm this Saturday on NLL TV, be there!
See you next time
