Most Improved Player: 06/09/2021
This years most
improved player vote was a wide net cast! We had players like Stephon Curry
nominated, who are superstars of the league but did see a near 20 point per
game uptick this year, and we saw some little guys who are usually more common
in this type of award as they vie for a spot in the league and find a footing.
The final
race however came down to only a few of the hopefuls, and the superstars who
have been at the top of their game for a few years now like Donovan Mitchell
and Steph Curry, were fairly well ignored, as they should be. There were some
guys still on rookie deals, who may already be household names, but took their
games to another level and some that aren’t quite household names, but found
themselves in much better situations and made the most of the opportunity.
Malik Beasley was one such player, and he was noted well in the voting with a 2nd
place finish. Collin Sexton was another that changed houses but came into only
