Gearing up for
Allstar-festivities, over the next two weeks, we will present an NLL special.
In a Clash of the Titans
three of the NLL's top teams, Cleveland, Boston and Philly, will take on a
selection of the NLL’s finest talents, that combined looks very much like the
NBA's Golden State Warriors. (The Bucks were disqualified, because of their
addition of Brandon Rush, who can’t play both sides.)
The ‘NBA Warriors’
will play a three game series against each of these teams, that will be
broadcast live on NLL League Pass.
Their NBA
counterparts are currently in the hunt for an all-time NBA record, 73 wins. One
more than the 95/96 Jordan-led Bulls managed to win. A mark that was already topped
once in the NLL. The 2013/14 Champs from Cleveland won 77 regular season games
that year.
What better year to
finally test the best of the NLL versus the best of the NBA.
All teams will
teams will play at full strength (expect for any out for the season players). NLL GMs of the three NLL teams can
participate by sending in lineups/playbooks to the NLL Inbox, if they want.
Otherwise both will be set by the league.
All other GMs can
participate by streaming one of these games live (with video please). Send a message the NLL inbox, if you want to participate.
Bulls GM dazman has
often bemoaned that NBA MVP Steph Curry doesn’t quite live up to his NBA
pedigree in the NLL. It was suggested that a better supporting cast would make
him look better in our 2k14 engine as well. This is a chance to take this
theory to the test.
There will be a
preview and a recap of each of these three mini-series. First up, over the
weekend, will be the Philadelphia 76ers.
