The NLL named
Nicolas Batum the league's Most Improved Player for the 2013-14 season today.
Batum, who plays for the Boston Celtics, finished with 16 first place votes, with a total of 90 points.
Batum finished the season with 32 points per game, shooting 47% from the field and 49% from beyond the arc. He also had 7.6 rebounds per game and 3.2 assists per
game. He was first in the league in three point attempts per game, second in three point attempts made, ninth in field goals made and tenth in points per game.
The Celtics acquired Batum in a major trade with the Philadelphia 76ers at the
beginning of the season, sending over the first pick overall in the draft in exchange for his services. He is currently playing against his former
team in the playoffs.
Andre Drummond of the Cleveland Cavaliers
finished in second place (3 first place votes, 50 points) and
John Wall of the Denver Nuggets came in third place (2 first place
