Aaaaaand we all equal, fellas!!!
Boston managed to pull off a game in Los Angeles and take
the game back the Lakers stole from their own home court.
Most important game of the Series for Boston so far, by a
mile, as the Series will continue in LaLa Land, going down 3-1 would be a
crucial blow to take AND have Game 5 at the opposition’s home court the very
next day. Imagine the psychological momentum swing for the Lakers if that
happened.
Phew! Disaster averted! All equal, 2-2 and let me tell you a
little bit about how this was done.
It is safe to say Boston’s players were playing angry, or
pissed, you pick the one you like.
The Celtics managed to shoot better than the Lakers in every
level, grab +11 rebounds, dish more assists and block more shots. It is also
difficult to nitpick which stat had the most impact, as the Celtics seemed to
have been better at every level today, they just had “one of those days†where
they decided they weren’t gonne be beaten and went on to dominate the Lakers.
While Nikola Vucevic shot 7-10 and grabbed 13 rebounds,
making a great case for best player on the court, I’m giving the game ball to
Mr. Taj Gibson, who, after being crushed by the media about starting in Game 3
and receiving flack from his own fan base, had a bounce back game with 8
rebounds, 7 points and a block in 25 minutes. His near double-double in limited
time illustrated perfectly how much the Celtics wanted this one.
After a near equal first quarter, won by the Lakers, the Celtics
had great quarters 2 and 3 to put the game out of reach before the Lakers would
attempt a comeback in A4.
Game 5 promises to be a great one and whoever wins this will
march onto Boston with a 3-2 lead.
Don’t miss it.
