Ok, so everyone should be out there nominating their guys for all the competitions. In addition to that, let us remind you all that shameless politicking of your player IS ALLOWED and actually encouraged in these next 8 days. Tickers, news articles, forum posts, please use any and all means to relay your insistence that YOUR guys are THE guys that should be participating that weekend.

Ok, now lets get into more of the particulars….

All of your team nominees will need to be in by this Monday night. From Tuesday-Thursday, we will post the All Star Game(ASG) nominees and the league will vote on the starting 5 for each conference. Like last year, the GMs of the top team in each conference will choose the reserves. Unfortunately, if an injured player is selected to the ASG, those GMs will need to pick a late replacement for them to participate. No player that is injured during the week 11 will be eligible to play in the ASG. CP and Playbook will be set to the most recent used by that GM. If there is a tie in the standings, the GM that had not participated last year will be chosen. If neither GM had coached previously, Conference record will be tie breaker. Reserves will be sent in to the league by Sunday, February 9th.

For the Dunk and 3 pt competition, the admins will narrow the selection pool down to 10 eligible candidates( remember, can’t be injured). We will then post up the voting process for all GMs, and each GM will select 4 for the dunk contest and 6 for the 3pt contest. You WILL be allowed to vote for your nominee in this process. Voting for these events will conclude on Saturday, February 8th.

For the Rising Stars challenge, Daz and I will be schoolyard picking our 12 man roster from the entire pool nominated by all GMs for rookies and sophomores ON THE RADIO! We will both be explaining our choices and how they should fit on the team we are forming. As a matter of fact, ALL of the finalists will be announced via radio show sometime before the end of Tuesday night (2/11/14).

Now, down to the nitty gritty. The ASG weekend schedule of events:

2/13(Thursday) – Sprite Slam Dunk Contest
2/14(Friday) – Foot Locker 3 Point Contest
2/15(Saturday) – BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge
2/16(Sunday) – NLL All Star Game

Each event will have video accompaniment. The Rising Stars and the ASG will be simmed like a normal game and Daz will place them on Twitch for ALL to watch! Again, this is your chance to publicly promote your players, so take advantage. Good luck!
