and Rookies of the Month for December!
East
POTM – Kyrie Irving
The Knicks are flying atop the Eastern Conference and that is in no small
part due to now Player of the Month winner for December, Kyrie Irving! Irving
torched defences through December to the tune of 25.6 points, 4.5 rebounds,
10.3 assists and 0.9 steals in a dominant performance as a team leader, even
overtaking James Harden. The Knicks are sitting pretty on 21-4 at the end of
the month with no signs of slowing down. Congratulations Kyrie Irving on Player
of the Month for December!
West POTM
– Anthony Davis
Was there really any question who would be the near unanimous decision
for Western Conference Player of the Month in December? Anthony Davis of
course. He’s been a monster, won Player of the Week in every week he’s
nominated and the Spurs hold the best record in the league because of him. He
averaged 28.4 points, 10.3 boards, 2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.9 blocks while
now also hitting 1 triple a game to be truly unstoppable all over the court. He
may only have 1 Brow, but he plays like he has 2. Congratulations Anthony Davis
on Player of the Month for December!
West
ROTM – Joel Embiid
Embiid amazingly hasn’t won a Rookie of the week award after being buried
on the bench for a few weeks, then instead being nominated for Player of the
Week rather than Rookie of the week, but here he is beating out Jaylen Brown
for the Monthly award averaging 16.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.9
steals and 1.8 blocks while shooting 57% from the field, 44% from deep and 79%
from the line. He looks to have claimed a starting role now, so his numbers are
likely to spike even further, but look out, this monster has arrived!

ROTM – Brandon Ingram
As we
all know, Brandon Ingram has flat out balled for the Hornets this season and
continues to do so claiming the Eastern Rookie of the Month award for December
with ease. He averaged 20.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.9 steals and 1
block and is showing his length and all round game is set to make him a Swiss
army knife player for years to come. How about the line-up down in Charlotte
