Week 16 Injury Watch
TEAM | INJURIES |
---|---|
T.J. Warren (Foot), Spencer Dinwiddie (Knee), Jalen Lecque (Waived in NBA), Abdel Nader (Knee), Myles Turner (Ankle), Hawks are trying to hang in the Eastern Conference for a playoff berth but the injuries are piling up. Dinwiddie has long been out for the season and now they get word that Warren is also done for the remainder of the year. It is still up in the air whether or not Myles Turner or Abdel Nader will return anytime soon. The team should waive Lecque and grab a free agent who is actually playing. |
Caris LeVert (Knee), It has been the season from hell for LeVert with a cancer scare and all kinds of other bumps and bruises. He should be back soon, though, just as the Nets are heating up. |
Chris Silva (Waived in NBA), Another team that should waive a useless player and grab someone else who can produce. |
Jamal Murray (Knee), Murray's torn ACL dampens the Hornets' hopes for the playoffs but the team is still really strong. |
Taurean Prince (Ankle), Will Barton (Hamstring), Prince wont play again this season for Chicago. Barton's lingering hamstring issue has kept the player out for awhile. The Bulls would love to see him play sometime before they go fishing for Cade. |
P.J. Dozier (Groin), Deni Avdija (Ankle), Lots of noise was made when the Cavs snagged Avdija from the Grizzlies. But the Cavs recently declared the rookie out for the season with a fibular hairline fracture. Meanwhile, Dozier continues to struggle with an ankle injury. |
All good in Mavsland. | |
Jonathan Isaac (), GM Rootsey thought Christmas came early when Isaac was accidentally left off the injury report. At least he was honest about. No Isaac this year. Sorry. |
Detroit is firing on all cylinders! | |
Dante Exum (Calf), I would love to see how much money Exum has earned per games played. He sat on the waiver wire for most of the season before the Warriors picked him up for cap reasons. He should be cleared to play in a few weeks. But will he step on the court? |
Josh Hart (Thumb), JJ Redick (Heel), Justin James (Ankle), Hart should be returning sometime soon after having thumb surgery. Redick has been ailing for some time and it's unclear if he will come back from his heel injury soon. |
Malik Fitts (Waived in NBA), Waive him, Sheed. Find someone who actually plays. |
Jaylen Brown (Wrist), Victor Oladipo (Knee), Rodions Kurucs (Waived in NBA), The Clips just got a new GM but both Brown and Oladipo are done for the season. Does this mean the Clips have no chance now? |
James Wiseman (Knee), Knee surgery sucks. No more Wiseman for the Lakers this season. |
Sean McDermott (Foot), Kelly Oubre (Wrist), Oubre is still in significant pain with that wrist injury. Memphis needs him, especially after moving KAT and Powell, if they hope to contend still. |
The Heat is on and the injuries are off in Miami! | |
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Foot), Ooof, shattering news today for the Bucks are Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been ruled out for the season with a significant tear in his foot. The Bucks are deep enough to cover the injury but if one or two more players go down, the champs will have to work harder to compete. |
Cam Reddish (Achilles), Larry Nance Jr. (Thumb), Reddish is inching his way back to playing while Nance likely done for the season as the 8-45 T'Wolves have no postseason prayer. |
Klay Thompson (Knee), Pascal Siakam (Shoulder), At first glance, the 19-34 Pels look like a lost cause, especially after trading their pick this season. Yet, the Western Conference is so bad they still might qualify for the play-in game. Klay is toast but the team waits for a final word on Siakam's injury. |
The new look Knicks are all clear! | |
Luka Samanic (Hand), Deividas Sirvydis (Leg), These guys will be back soon, but have little impact for the Thunder. With the injuries to the Clippers, will they be the dominant team in the West? |
Thomas Bryant (Knee), Bryant is done for the season and so are the Magic. |
The Sixers passed through a spell of injuries to major players and to be fully healthy. Will their luck turn bad again soon? | |
Marquese Chriss (Leg), Meanwhile, the "wait until next years Suns" are actually fully healthy and could make some serious noise soon. |
Anzejs Pasecniks (Waived in NBA), Jarrett Culver (Ankle), Culver should be back soon and the Blazers will try to sneak into the postseason. |
The Spurs are healthy! | |
Dylan Windler (Knee), Rodney Hood (Hand), Two more players bite the dust. Hood is made out of glass and won't play again this season. |
Another team battered by injuries, the Raptors look to salvage the season with some new faces and a healthy roster. | |
Markelle Fultz (Knee), Zach Collins (Ankle), Mitchell Robinson (Foot), The announcement that Mitchell Robinson is done for the season helps the Jazz's nose dive even more. Collins is TBA but we all know he won't return to the court this season, or ever. |
Gary II Payton (Waived in NBA), Payton never came back like the Wizards hoped. Time to move on from the guard and sign one of those active guys in the FA pool. |
