Week 12 Injury Watch

TEAM INJURIES
Atlanta Hawks T.J. Warren (Foot), Spencer Dinwiddie (Knee), Jalen Lecque (Waived in NBA), Abdel Nader (Knee), Davis Bertans (Calf), Myles Turner (Ankle), Danuel House (Ankle)

Ooof! Did Ben kick a kitten or something? Warren and Dinwiddie done for the year has been the norm for a while now, and Lecque, Nader and Bertans have been out for a couple weeks too, but just as they are excited to welcome back Rubio and Harris, they wave goodbye to Turner and House. The Hawks need a break.
Brooklyn Nets Glenn Robinson III (Waived in NBA)

Brooklyn have been scooting along having to cover for the missing Steph Curry and it hasn't resulted in particularly nice results, but he's back this week people. In fact, they're pretty much at full strength again now with Jahlil also returning and only Big Dog Jnr still sitting.
Boston Celtics George Hill (Thumb)

Hill remains on the sidelines as he was last week, and no one is joining him. Rumour has it, he's not going to suit up for Boston ever again...
Charlotte Hornets David Nwaba (Wrist), Jalen Harris (Hip), Daniel Gafford (Ankle), Jamal Murray (Knee), Eric Paschall (Hip)

Joel Embiid and Brandon Ingram are big holes to fill...but they won't be filling them anymore as they're back this week! However, Jamal Murray goes out and Eric Paschall joins him. Gafford should be returning too...that must be a typo.
Chicago Bulls PJ Washington (Ankle)

Guess who's back! DRiss is finally back on the court and the Bulls are ecstatic to showcase him to everyone to trade him out by the deadline because they hate him. Ok so hate is a strong word, but he's been in so many trades rumours this year that there's definitely something there. Steven Adams is healthy for his new team now and PJ Washington takes the place of the above two on the sidelines.
Cleveland Cavaliers Jay Scrubb (Foot), Zach Collins (Ankle), Jaren Jackson Jnr (Knee), Malik Monk (Ankle), Mohamed Bamba (Hip), Kelly Oubre (Wrist)

Bamba is out...which is a kick in the nads while they still wait for JJJ and Collins is done. Monk remains out, but Dort is back to boost the backcourt and the recently acquired Oubre sits down while the recently waived Paul Watson will debut for the 76ers after being waived while injured last week.
Dallas Mavericks Marvin Bagley III (Hand), Dennis Smith (Knee), Nickeil Alexander-Walker (Knee), Otto Porter (Foot)

Lonnie makes his return this week which is a nice boost when you watch Otto Porter, DSJ and NAW all say they're out, joining Bagley in the towel waving corner of excellence. Marvin is an old head at towel waving now and it's part of the reason Dallas got him in, to teach the rest of the group how it's done.
Denver Nuggets Jonathan Isaac (Knee), Udoka Azubuike (Ankle), Shaquille Harrison (Waived in NBA), Mason Plumlee (Rest), Chris Chiozza (Hand)

Isaac and Doke remain out and have been seen enjoying long walks on the beach...ok so maybe up the rocky mountains or something instead, I'm clearly creating rumours here and shouldn't be called on the lack of facts. Harrison has signed a 2way deal but isn't joining the squad because he's "waived in the NBA", while Plumlee and Chiozza are out replacing Bazley, Thompson and Okpala on the sidelines.
Detroit Pistons Aleksej Pokusevski (Arm), Jerami Grant (Rest), D.J. Augustin (Ankle), Richaun Holmes (Hamstring)

From no injuries one week to 4 out the next Jerami is the big out, but everyone loves a skinny white kid with a tricky to pronounce name, so we'll probably miss Poku more from a viewing standpoint. Holmes is going to be crucial too while DJ just keeps on hanging on, until he's injured and then he has to let go and take a seat.
Golden State Warriors Doug McDermott (Ankle), Derrick Favors (Knee), Tyler Johnson (Knee), DeAnthony Melton (Leg)

Cole Anthony returns which is nice for a tanking...rebuilding team to watch the future run around. Instead, they have 4 vets watching from the sidelines now in McBuckets, Favirs, TJ and Melton. That's not going to do them any favours missing out on all those meltin' buckets. Johnson.
Houston Rockets Josh Hart (Thumb), Gary Clark (Waived in NBA), Tobias Harris (Knee), Tomas Satoransky (Back), Jaylen Nowell (Leg)

Frazier has been held all year and he's back! So is Lamb and Redick and that bolsters the shooting while Josh Hart remains out. Unfortunately, Tobias takes a seat this week leaving Jokic to do it all alone with Sato also resting his back.
Indiana Pacers Serge Ibaka (Back), Justin Jackson (Waived in NBA), Wayne Ellington (Rest), Gordon Hayward (Foot)

Ibaka remains out which is a continued blow, though CJ/Doncic is taking the leagie by storm at the moment so who needs Serge? Gordan Hayward even decided he'd take a break and see how the duo fare without him, while Ellington and Jackson have only been role players anyway. On the plus side, PJ Tucker is back.
LA Clippers John Collins (Ankle), OG Anunoby (Rest), Victor Oladipo (Knee)

John Collins remains out which is hurting their big man stocks, and this week they get Anunoby and Dipo out again  to really eat into that depth that the Clippers have. Who am I kidding, they got this anyway. Kabengele has filled in great guns as a rookie and probably will get a run again now he has a deal again.
LA Lakers Jabari Parker (Waived in NBA), Rodney McGruder (Elbow), James Wiseman (Knee)

Jabari signed a deal! He's back! Just not here yet this week, sorry LA. McGruder remains on the sidelines too and the big kick in the backside? James Wiseman may have just kissed his ROTY ambitions goodbye as he sits for the rest of the season.
Memphis Grizzlies Kris Dunn (Ankle), Austin Rivers (Personal), Terrance Ferguson (Waived in NBA)

Kris Dunn is in, and remains out. Rivers and Fergusson likewise and there's no end in sight for the missing Fergusson. Monte Morris makes his return this week though to help combat this missing trio of guards though the Grizz have been really pushing it up hill this season.
Miami Heat Al Horford (Out ), Andre Iguodala (Hip), Malik Beasley (Hamstring)

Big Al is still resting, which is an odd injury that claims to many yet is so fickle. Imagine training all week and then sitting out despite being healthy? Frank Kaminsky and Jarrett Allen make their triumphant returns to bolster the front court but Andre Iguodala and Malik Beasley take a seat which is good for the Heat as they want a high draft pick.
Milwaukee Bucks Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Foot), Zach LaVine (Illness), Donte DiVincenzo (Toe)

Amazingly, Killian Hayes is back! But more importantly, Trae Young is back too. Nassir Little is also, but that's of little consequence. Unfortunately Shai remains sidelined, and might be at least until playoffs. Zach LaVine has gone all COVID on the Bucks and Donte decided things were getting too easy for them so he might try to test their ample backcourt depth.
Minnesota Timberwolves Cam Reddish (Achilles), Tyrell Terry (Illness), Devonte Graham (Quad)

Minnesota are wishing Tyrell Terry would come on like the rest of his draft picks have, but they're going to have to wait another week at least as he remains out with Cam Reddish. Devonte Graham joins them on the sigelines while Larry Nance, a Jon favourite, makes his return.
New Orleans Pelicans Marquese Chriss (Leg), Klay Thompson (Knee), Mitchell Robinson (Foot), Hamidou Diallo (), Damyean Dotson (Knee)

The Hornets have become the walking wounded, by design though, and they arguably bought cheap on the Klay, Robinson and Chriss trio. Hami wasn't meant to go out, but they won't mind too much as John Wall comes back along with perennial 6th man of the year candidate Keita Bates-Diop.
New York Knicks Andre Drummond (Personal), Quinn Cook (Waived in NBA)

The Knicks have been cursing Drummond every since acquiring him, not because he's not perfect for them, but because the guy just won't stay on the floor. At least they get Dragic, Ball and Windler back this week...or maybe Windler was traded but I'm too lazy to check...Mitchell remains in luckily as he'll be out next week by all accounts.
Oklahoma City Thunder Lebron James (Ankle), Josh Hall (Knee), Kawhi Leonard (Foot), Seth Curry (Hip)

This is a Phoenix-esque injury list here with Kawhi leonard joining Lebron on the sidelines this week and the Thunder have lost 5 of their 6 losses with at least one of these guys out, and 3 with both out! Now they throw in Seth Curry to the list too, sand who exactly is going to score with Melo this week? It's the Melo show.
Orlando Magic Thomas Bryant (Knee), DeÁndre Hunter (Knee), Patrick Beverley (Knee), Sterling Brown (Knee)

The new GM has made a splash already and Hunter joins a new teams injury list after coming across injured from Portland. Bryant remains out and Beverley and Brown decided tey would add to the list just for the hell of it. Griffin returns, which will help the showcasing, and Dieng got a deal which is nice.
Philadelphia 76ers James Harden (Hamstring), Dwight Howard (Knee), Isaiah Thomas (Waived in NBA), Damian Lillard (Hamstring)

So they've tasted the waters on a Harden without Lillard and a Lillard without Harden but this week it's the Zion and Derrick show in Philly as at least Zion has returned from injury. Isaiah Thomas would have been the perfect fit to make some noise but he decided he wouldn't stick around long enough to help them out after they showed him the faith. Dwight goes out too, which leaves them short.
Phoenix Suns Kyle Lowry (Foot), Gary Trent Jnr. (Ankle), Brandon Clarke (Hip)

Remember when we asked which would come first and KD playing 10 games seemed like an easy choice? Well, he's finally trying to get that number up now at least as he's back baby! DMC is playing too and Rondo has decided he'd like to fill the hole that Lowry is still leaving while Brandon Clarke and Gary Trent are going to be notable rotational misses.
Portland Trail Blazers Anzejs Pasecniks (Waived in NBA), Eric Gordon (Knee), Michael Carter-Williams (Illness), Trey Lyles (Ankle)

This list is exactly the same as last week except they traded Hunter out to be on someone elses list. They got no one back and still are waiting to see Eric Gordon in action. How long can Portland hold on?
San Antonio Spurs Anthony Davis (Calf), LaMelo Ball (Wrist), Danilo Gallinari (Ankle), Markieff Morris (Ankle)

Well if Davis, Ball and Gallo wasn't bad enough, let's just throw in the veteran journeyman who once got a GM fired for being traded for CJ McCollum in Markieff Morris. Morris would have been handy in the Davis absence as he has been, but alas, no dice.
Sacramento Kings Dylan Windler (Knee), Gabriel Deck (Not with team), Cory Joseph (Ankle)

Oh there you go, Windler was traded! And I was too lazy to go look it up! He's now on the Kings injury list and he's a nice piece for the future so they'll be happy to wait. Shaq Harrison was removed and signed a 2way with the Nuggets so he's also off the list while Rodney Hood returns as they wait for the new signee, Gabriel Deck, to make his debut in the coming weeks.
Toronto Raptors Mike Muscala (Ankle), Alec Burks (Illness)

Can you believe it, LMA retired. What a bastard! But, farewell LMA, you are a HOFer here and had a fantastic career, but man what a kick to the Raptors. Beal is returning at least and Jordan bell got a deal which helps fill in for LMA, but Muscala remains out and Burks joins the injured.
Utah Jazz Markelle Fultz (Knee), Justise Winslow (Quad), Nate Darling (Ankle), Pascal Siakam (Rest)

Pascal Siakam is sitting out to have a party which is completely against team orders. But, he's doing it none-the-less. If you're healthy man, help your team! Brogdon returns but Winslow who is always injured, is still injured, and Fultz is done for the year.
Washington Wizards Robert Williams (Knee), Evan Fournier (Illness)

WCS and Temple in, Robert Williams and Fournier out. Fair swap? Not really...but they'll have to make do. At least WCS is athletic.
