Oden Shipped Out For #11 Pick

The Atlanta Hawks today announced the trade of Greg Oden, oft injured Center to the San Antonio Spurs for their recently acquired #11 pick in this years draft. This draft pick gives the Hawks some much needed options for acquiring new talent to build around star Derrick Rose.

"While it was tough to trade Oden before we could really see his full potential, it was a deal we had to do. With Oden we weren't sure what we were getting next year. With the 11th pick in the draft we'll be able to fill some needs on our team," Hawks GM OC said today.

With the Hawks now in possession of two lottery picks, it's unsure what the team plans to do. Will they look to package them to move up? Will they stand pat and pick from some of the best talent in this years' draft? Or, will they look to move a pick for established stars? The GM wouldn't say, but Hawks fans can get excited for what should be a fun NLL Draft!
