The Battle of the Undefeated

The battle of the undefeated will be happening soon. The Milwaukee Bucks who stand 14-0 will be heading to the Philadelphia to face off vs the undefeated 76ers who have a 12-0 record. These two teams are playing an an extremely elite level are are stacking up to be favorites to win the east. This will be a match up you won’t want to miss. So here is what to expect.

The Bucks:

The have a powerhouse roster this year. They have a few players that are having absolutely still years including Rookie Of The Week Anthony Edwards! Zack LaVine is having a career year averaging 23 points per game. Then of course you have the man himself, Mr. Buck, Giannis Antetokounmpo who is 1st in league rebounds while also high on many other categories and could easily be talked about as the leagues MVP. The crazy part  about the Bucks is how much they win by. They never play a close game and are smashing the opposites. The closest game they have played was decided by 5 points, the second closest was 15.

The 76ers:

The 76ers are the only other undefeated team and its clear why. Having players such as Harden, Lillard, Zion, Gobert and Rose is one heck of a starting 5. When you have Dame Lillard back on the court and James Harden next to each other you know the team is going to put up points. James harden is in the race to be considered for MVP and stands at spot 10 (one spot behind Giannis). Rudy Gobert is helping solidify the teams defense. They will have home court advantage for this matchup so those virtual fans better show up to help give them that playoff atmosphere.

The Key Match-Ups:

Giannis Vs  Gobert

Two of the leagues top defenders will be facing off and you better believe its going to be a battle. With Nurkic out Giannis is playing at Center. Rudy is not nearly the offensive threat that Giannis, so the Greek will not have to worry to much about that. However Rudy is ranked 3rd in the league for blocks and top 8 in rebounds. Giannis on the other hand is leading the league in defensive rebounds. Rudy will have his hands full because Giannis like to play out of the post a bit, and is often making plays for his teammates. This will be a physical matchup.

Patrick WIlliams  Vs  Zion Williams

Zion will have the upper hand vs Patrick. Thats not shade on Patrick but it's clearly a difference in talent. Zion beats out Patrick on every statistical category and is going to be one of the faces of the league for years to come. Patrick is a good player, do not get me wrong. He is just more of a role player. He will have his hands full for this matchup.

SF: Anthony Edwards  Vs  Rudy Gay

This is an interesting one. You have the Rook vs the Vet. Rudy has all the tricks but Edwards has the confidence of a young bull right now ready to take on. I think Rudy will take the edge just because he is so much more polished defensively though. Edwards is really fun to watch with his explosiveness and speed. I will personally be keeping an eye on him. He is bound to have a highlight or two.

Damion Lillard  Vs  Trae Young

Damion vs Young should be a fun one. You have the crafty vet who is one of the best shooters/scorers in the league going up vs the young gun in Trae who is a star in the making. Both players are shooting lights out from 3 right now. Lillard is hitting the 3, at 48% on 8.9 attempts. His nickname is Logo Lillard for a reason people. Trae, is hitting shooting them at %52 from 3. SO… for those of you who like those deep deep shots…this is the game for you.

Bucks Star

Trae Young

Trae Young is a special offensive player, however what is going to make him a Key player in this game is his commitment and effort to defense. Its a very rare site to say something positive about him on that end of the court however, he will be going up vs Lillard and Harden. That will not be an easy task.He averages 1.5 SPG.

76ers Star

Rudy Gobert

If Rudy Gobert can slow down Giannis offense and create a lick of offense for himself, that will be the biggest factor. He is not much of an offensive threat at as like we stated above however, if he can get going while slowing down the Greek, this will be a key eliminate. Rudy is averaging 13 RPG, 7PPG in 29MPG.

X-Factor

This game is loaded with talent. You have some of the most stacked super teams this league has seen in a while and the records are proof of that. I mean did you see the names I listed above? The only people missing are KD and Labron… I will personally be keeping on eye on Giannis, Dam, Zion and Edwards as I believe they will have some of the most visual pleasing games on the court. However don’t blink or you could miss something special.

I am taking the 76ers to win this one. At the end of the day I think having an X factor combo of Lillard and Harden in the backcourt is going to be a bit too much to handle. Young does not scream, defensive stopper when it comes to those to and when Harden locks in he can be a plus defender.
