Recap

In the 1st quarter in the first few minutes, it was Terrence Williams and Derick Rose who lead the team in scoring as they pounded their way to the basket scoring at will making those beautiful and in your face jams. In the dying minutes of the 1st period, it was Courtney Lee's time to take over and do the scoring for the Sophomore team as he scored 10 points in the 1st quarter alone. Both teams are shooting well as almost all of their shots were from down low as they rarely take those outside shots. The 1st period was hotly contested as both teams are exchanging baskets feeling each other, the first quarter ended with Sophomores leading by only three points.Derick Rose was superb as he was all around scoring, dishing out two assist and making four steals!

The 2nd period was the same story for the Rookies as Terrence Williams was very hot leading the team in scoring supported by J. Flynn and W. Mathews. Williams was simply unstoppable down low as he was very agile escaping from his defenders and looking it very easy to score. But only three players from the rookies do the scoring unlike the other team, the Sophomores were doing it all havingf a well balance scoring from all the first five players on the floor. Now, Beasley, Gallinari and Lopez stepped up and showed their musles on the paint while Gallinari was hitting from the outside. The game though was very tight as the rookies refuse to let go of the game and hanged on tight. The first half ended with a very high scoring output, the Sophomores were on top by two 62-64.

In the start of the 3rd quarter, the Rookies played well as they tightened their defense making it hard for the Sophomores to execute their play as the Rookies increased their intensity, stealing and intercepting passes and preventing their opponent to have a clear look at the basket. This time Dajuan Blair helped the Rookies in scoring and made huge eight rebounds in the 3rd alone and hustling so much preventing Lopez and Beasley to get easy shots down low. The Sophomores still dominated the boards as Lopez was simply bigger than his counterpart, Courtney Lee on the other hand continues to shine as he was very steady and consistent in producing those needed points in the 3rd. The 3rd period ended with both teams tied at 94.

The 4th period was a different one as the Sophomores showed a better team effort and team play. The sophomores showed the rookies their experience and tenacity. Michael Beasley, Danilo Gallinari and Courtney Lee lead the Sophomores rally in the last and crucial period as they were astounding both in offense and defense. They pulled away from the Rookies and showed how well they managed the whole game. The game was dominated by the Sophomores in rebounds and blocks as the Lopez and Beasley tandem was simply a very strong duo for the Rookies to take. Courtney Lee and Gallinari was doing an inside out game and confused the Rookies on who to stop as the points of the Sophomores was coming from different players. The game ended with a score of 113-128, Sophomores beating the Rookies.

Courtney Lee was named the best player of the game as he was a complete player producing 39 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assist, and 4 steals! Nothing you can ask for...
