Wowwwww

In the words of Owen Wilson “Wowwww”.

Wow is right Owen, wow sums up the injury plague that has hit Oregon. Portland are down to 8 healthy guys at the moment with Austin Rivers catching the highly contagious plague.

he Trailblazers coach when asked about the injuries said “Im trying not to let the guys breath on me. I’ve decided to pre record my pre game speeches. In all seriousness, its unfortunate, i hate seeing my guys hurt after all they have put in. But looking at it in a positive light, it gives these other guys that weren't seeing as many minutes a great opportunity. We all know how talented the NBA is right now, so sometimes all it takes for a player to break onto the scene is opportunity, and theres no doubt a result of injuries is opportunity.”

That is a great way to look at these tumultuous times, as the great Alexander Graham Bell said, “When one door closes, another opens.” And thats exactly how this organisation is seeing it.

The only two big men on the healthy roster are Ian Mahinmi and Guerschon Yabusele. With both playing as many minutes as they can handle, I think it might be time for the Blazers to call up their 24 year old, 6 foot 8 rookie, Eric McCree to give the two guys a bit of a chop out. Like the coach said, without any injuries McCree wouldn't have been getting a look in. Lets hope he gets an opportunity and seizes it.

After the clubs unexpected start to the season, the fairytale is appearing to turn into a harsh reality. Lets hope the boys can get healthy and get back on the winners side of the board.

Rudy Gay offers haven't been as prominent as i would have assumed, seeing as he is one of the best players in the league on a 9 mil contract, maybe the other GM’s phones are down…
