Free Agency Day 1

Yea news seems to travel slower in New Orleans, but here we are for a full in depth analysis of the pelicans prized pick up in the offseason

Welcome George the thrill Hill

Another Point Gaurd you say?, well the revolution is underway in the big easy. Hill will be going back to his roots and will lineup as the starting Shooting Guard

Hill’s top skills are defense, moving without the ball and spot up shooting. So i feel his skills are a better fit at shooting guard, not point guard.By playing off the ball, George can spot up in open areas on the floor, like behind the three-point line.

The one concern about moving Hill to shooting guard is his height. He is only 6’3” tall, which will make it hard for him to guard most shooting guards, who are usually around 6’6” tall. However we see this as a nonissue.

Hill was asked for comment and said the following "I grew up hoping to play shooting guard and was reluctant to play point guard, but all in all i am happy with it. I'd describe myself as a shooting guard trapped in a point guard's body."

An expensive acquisition at roughly 20 million a year over the next 3 years sure, but with cap space burning a hole in my pocket and a big name on the clock it was a no brainier move for me. We fully except the dual point guard revolution to be a raging success, but we have all season to see how it plays out.

While it might take a bit more roster shuffling to figure out where the pelicans are heading this year. Who knows, everyone starts at 0-0 so playoffs are a realistic chance, but they also could just be a pipe dream. But we wont die wondering thats for sure!
