With Portlands woes continuing and lack of movement in the right direction by management fans are starting to question whether this first time general manager is worth the ink his name is written in on the door.

True, Portland have had some upset victories and have had some highlight reel moments but as a whole, the Trailblazers lack of movement for the future has been disappointing.

It was never a secret that the Portland Trailblazers were planning on rebuilding and they have been open to the fans and the players about who they were looking to move. Im not sure why deals haven't eventuated or at least why more rumours haven't surfaced. It definitely can not be because of lack of production from the players on the block, because names like Luis Scola, Kosta Koufos, Austin Rivers and Ramon Sessions have been putting up some very nice numbers and surely have gotten the attention of fellow teams around the league.

Through connections around the league I can confirm that there are other General Managers with interest in Portlands pieces, so the only reason I can come up with for the lack of moves and progression is laziness or incompetence from the newly appointed Portland General Manager.

I managed to receive a quote from the General Manager himself, and he said â€œ we are looking to make moves and are currently dealing with numerous other parties. With the pool of talent we are looking at moving, patience is required to find the right deal and patience is required to set this great franchise up for a successful and bright future. Our team are currently assessing all possible situations andI feel although it does not appear like it from the outside, move are in fact in the pipeline. Remember Rome wasnt built in a day, or a season for that matterâ€.
