Week 1 down (2 and 2)
Week 1 review
Game 1 key match-up – Phoenix @
The Clippers opened their account in season 16/17 to the always formidable Phoenix suns led by GM Penny along with danger back court duo in Kemba Walker and former Clipper Monta Ellis. Thankfully for LA fans suns were without marquis signing Al Horford.
The game went back and forth for 3 solid quarters with the 4th being a quarter rather forgot by Suns faithful as they could only manage 17pts handing over a memorable victory to GM Andrew's up n coming team
Game
2 key match-up – Oklahoma City @
Oklahoma are a team going places rather quickly with a team full of young stars mixed in with their veteran stars.
Coming
off a player of the game performance against the Suns, Devin Booker
matched up with Jimmy Butler who gave the young buck a lesson in
humility scoring at will on the youngin and guiding his team to a
comfortable victory earning POTG along the way
Game 3 key match-up – @ New York
The superstar laden New York Knicks hosted the acne laden LA Clippers and delivered an embarrassing defeat one of which wont be forgotten soon, New York scored at will on the Clippers showing them they don’t deserve to be seen mixing it with the elite just yet.
Kyrie Irving in particular in fine form putting LA to the sword to the tune of 30 points at better than 50% fg shooting
Game 4 key match-up @ Memphis
Memphis are clearly looking toward the back end of the season in 2016/17 yet proved already they can play some decent basketball when they knocked over the Denver Nuggets in week 1.
fortunately for LA Clippers the grizzlies ran out of steam in the 4th quarter in what was proving to be a close fought battle, Young big man Clint Capela showing outstanding form grabbing 23 rebounds to go with 24 points and 5 steals. Unfortunately unable to hit FT missing 8 of 12 attempts
