Lorenzo Brown the Answer...

It's a rhetorical question rather then a statement...

Week seven was a hard pill to swallow finishing 1-3 against some tough opponents (More on that later in the week)… It was a week too forget and an opportunity to look forward to week eight with some minor roster changes and tweaks implemented by front office. Little did the Kings know they were going to have to put that on hold with a horrendous turn of events with injuries striking down almost half the roster.

Star PG Mike Conley who had been their consistent driving force all year is sidelined with a sore achilles, hopefully nothing major but at the moment the Kings coaching staff don’t want to take any chances. Along with the steady back up PG Jerryd Bayless, veteran Courtney Lee and the Kings entire back up front court in Sasha Kaun and Miles Plumlee; The Kings weren’t left with many options at all. In a sick turn of events it seems now that solid back up PG Aaron Brooks could’ve been really useful now, but the much needed move to bring in a perimeter scoring big man in Mike Scott was the right move for the long term success of the Kings franchise.

Struggling to even make up a workable roster, the Kings had to pull rookie Darrun Hilliard and unproven small forward Reggie Bullock from the D-league right into pivotal roles off the bench for the Kings this week. With the kings entire PG reserve depleted other then of course the two year man Jordan Clarkson, the kings hand was forced to sign Lorenzo Brown to a 10 day contract. He’ll be put straight to work as the primary back up to Clarkson and even though the Kings front office are remaining hopeful, everyone else outside of the organisation aren’t expecting a whole lot. With games against western conference finals and defending champs the Lakers, along with a resurgent 76ers team, week eight isn’t looking to be the week of redemption the Kings were looking for… Stay tuned for more.
