Lob City welcomes..

Meet the Clippers 2015/16

Here we are again at the beginning of a new season and a start of a new unknown. While LAC went through a rough time (self-made) in season 2014/15 we look to right a wayward ship and move forward to the LAC former glory days.

While that won’t be this season Clipper management feel pieces are in place to build what hopefully becomes a more successful future…

Having completely retooled (only 4 returning players) the squad through 2015 draft and trades and the 2015/16 free agency circus

We land on our feet in a far better position than that of the Clippers of old

That being said here we have the Clippers for season 2015/16

Point Guard depth chart

PG â€“D’Angelo Russell, Jerian Grant

LAC 2014/15 MVP Shelvin Mack was thrown under the bus early on knowing that the team was targeting replacements through the draft. And those draftees will be called upon to play the 48minutes between them

While LAC would have loved to add a veteran PG to the roster that will have to wait until another time

The rooks will play a major role in the future of the franchise and none more critical than these two.

Shooting Guard depth chart

SG â€“ Alec Burks, Marco Bellineli, Devin Booker

With LAC adding Alec Burks and Marco Bellineli to the roster in the past few days we feel the SG spot is covered unlike the PG spot LAC were able to secure the services of veteran 3pt slinger Marco Belinelli for what could become a crucial bench piece until Devin Booker can develop over the course of the season.

Small Forward depth chart

SF â€“ DeMare Carrol, Rodney Hood, Stanley Johnson

Like the SG spot the SF is fairly well filled with youth in Stanley Johnson and Rodney Hood and experience in DeMare Carrol. Both wing spots are well covered with almost all players able to cover both spots.

Power Forward depth chart

PF â€“ Taj Gibson, Frank Kaminsky, Boris Diaw

While LAC went with a twin towers line up for a large majority of 2014/15 it’s the tactic for 2015/16 will be to work towards an inside outside partnership with the view Frank the tank the future partner for Hassan Whiteside

In the meantime new recruits Taj Gibson and Boris Diaw will man the PF roles with The Tank manning the pom poms on the bench

Centre depth chart

C â€“ Hassan Whiteside, Kevin Garnett, Chris Anderson, Clint Capela

Hassan Whiteside will be the starter while Kevin Garnett and Chris Anderson will be the main backups with Clint Capela will likely be inactive to start the season with the view to taking over from KG and Birdman at seasons end..
