Patrick Bergin Connaughton played basketball for 4 years at the University of Notre Dame. At the same time he could be a baseball professional, playing in the MLB for the Baltimore Orioles. Baltimore selected him in the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft in the fourth round (121st pick overall). He signed a two-month contract but returned to play basketball for the Fighting Irish. He also played 3 years of College baseball in the Notre Dame Baseball program.

But returning to basketball...

In his 4 season of college basketball he averaged 10.5 Pts, 5.9 Rbs and 1,8 Ass in 32.3 minutes. He shoots 45% from the field, 38,6% from 3 point range and 77% from charity stripe. He played 139 games for the Fighting Irish.

In his senior season he played 38 games and averaged 12.5 Pts, 7.4 Rbs and 1,5 Ass in 35.6 minutes. Notre Dame reached the Final Four in the NCAA Tournament 2015, they lost the semifinals game against the Kentucky Wildcats.

Pat will sign a 3 year contract after the summer break. He will get some playing time coming from the bench as SG or SF. He has to earn his minutes by showing what he can give the team from the bench, so he will backup Barnes and Chandler.

The Warriors hope they have found a solid bench guy for the future, versatile at both ends of the floor with the ability to score from anywhere on the floor and an unselfish player with a great feel for the game.
