Jerami Grant was the Spurs 2nd of 2 second round picks from the 2014 Draft. Drafted 34th overall, Grant entered the league touted to be super athletic with great size to play the SF at the next level. Doubts about his jump shot and ability to score outside of 12 feet would be seen to limit his contribution to the team in his Rookie season.

Early on Grant began the season with an ankle injury missing the first 2 weeks. His NLL debut would come in week 3 as he returned to the lineup and helped out i garbage minuted off the bench. His first real playing time would gome in week 4 as he backed up Mike Scott at PF due to injuries.

Following on from his week 3 and 4 games Grant returned to the IR until week 8. From then on he would not miss a week playing out the remainder of the season. Grant played a total of 60 games for the season and got the start in 5. His only starts for the season came in week 10 as the Spurs were severely depleted with injury.

Playing out of position at PF, as a starter Grant averaged 4.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. This showed the team that Grant was not ready to contribute yet and he returned to his reserve role for the rest of the season.

The Spurs remain excited by the potential of Grant to become a solid role player in the future. His continued improvement will be allowed as the team has 2 more than capable Small Forwards on the roster already in Nic Batum and P.J. Tucker.
