2015 season is on the books with yesterday draft and Indiana Pacers made a lot of changes to get into a new season. To follow up what is different for next year we are consider last week moves step by step.
ADAMS AND GORTAT
After few weeks on the block to clear cap space Marcin Gortat was traded to Bucks for another bigman Steven Adams, Perry Jones, Thanasis Antetokounmpou, few picks and cash. "Marcin is a great guy and will be missed. We need to clear the pay roll to create a health squad for the future." explain gm Sheed. Steven Adams is a freak athlete and will come off the bench for Tristan Thompson in center position. Perry Jones is heading to Phoenix Suns for a next year second round pick and Thanasis Antetokounmpou might come in this year.
VINCE CARTER
Indiana also adquired the 17 years veteran Vince Carter from Philadelphia for two second round picks Vince is the 5th in NLL all time score with 20617 points and Indiana fans expect to see even more points before he retires. Vince is now the olders veteran of this team. He will divide with Jammal Crawford the task to lead the young players. Coach Voger still not sure if Vince will start or come off the bench.
DRAFT DAY
Indiana entered in the draft with 3 guys on their list, RJ Hunter, Justin Anderson and Bobby Portis to pick at 27th. With a plan B jumping to 30thposition in case they don't get any of these 3 guys. Pacers planned to pick Montrelz Harrell, Jarell Martin and Kevon Looney at 30 and they drafted Jarell Martin, thanks to Cavs stash draft.
Jarell is a great kid with a lot of potential from LSU. The kid has a strength and athleticism and is more NLL ready than others on the board. Pacers don't regret to draft this kid and were a bit surprise to find him on the boards on 30th position.
On second round Pacers also drafted Daniel Diez who went to Toronto and Sir'Dominic Pointer
MARVIN WILLIAMS
At last Indiana Pacers adquired the wingman Marvin Williams for the rights of Daniel Diez. Pacers are improving even more their depth. Marvin avareged 10 points per game in 20 minutes last season and is know to be a good shooter and rebounder
