February 7, 2010 | Nash's Time in Miami Comes to an End

Miami sent Steve Nash to Boston in return for Jason Richardson. Coach Riley has been asking GM Tmac for a shooting guard and he finally delivered. Steph Curry will slide over to PG and will now be in charge of running the offense. Nash's time in Miami was short but sweet. He brought a lot of excitement to South Beach with his sharp shooting and great court vision. "I saw this as a chance to get a stud SG, get rid of a bad contract, and increase our chances of winning the draft lottery," said Tmac. Coach Riley complained that no matter who he put at SG, that person always took the most shots; he asked Tmac to get him a real SG (with both Curry and Nash undersized to play there) and the GM delivered.

January 31, 2010 | Miami Moving in the Right Direction

GM TMac has finally expressed some form of content with his 2009/2010 squad. While a 2-2 week is nothing to write home about, the way in which Miami competed has the coach, fans, and GM hopeful for the future. The Heat earned wins over Orlando and Sacramento and pushed two contenders, LAC and WAS to the brink. What was the difference? Two words: JJ Hickson. Hickson put up 16 points and 8 rebounds per game on 57% shooting during his first full week as a starter.

January 24, 2010 | Nash for Sale?

After their 4th consecutive week of finishing 1-3, the Heat still haven't found any answers. The newest attempt by Coach Riley to turn things around will see JJ Hickson make his first start of the season. Hickson had a strong week of practice and played will with Nash and Curry, and will be rewarded for his efforts. In other news, Al Thornton has drawn considerable interest throughout the league but GM TMac hasn't signed off on any deal yet. Nash is reportedly available for the right price, and it's rumored that TMac would love to send him to a PG-needy contender (he can be reached via the NLL inbox).

January 13, 2010 | Miami Disappointing Fans, GM

Losers of 6 of their last 7 games, the Heat are going into disaster mode. While the team wasn't expected to be elite this year, GM TMac certainly thought they would be competitive...at 6-13, that couldn't be farther from the truth. Al Thornton, Kendrick Perkins, and Mickael Pietrus are all averaging career highs in points per game, but it still hasn't clicked for the team. Although TMac isn't ready to give up on the season just yet, it is rumored that he's looking to move some of his veterans for picks and GM points - this includes the reliable Nash.

December 21, 2009 | Miami Searching for Answers

A 5-9 record after the first 3 weeks finds GM TMac disappointed but still hopeful about the remainder of the season. The key is getting Channing Frye more involved; one of his greatest assets, his 3-pt shooting, has been non-existent (0-2 on the season). Frye was given lots of money to stretch the opposing defenses and he has not come through yet. Coach Riley expressed hope in the Week 5 roster update, but only time will tell.

December 14, 2009 | Heat Mearly Average After Two Weeks

After the first two weeks of the 09/10 season, the Heat have amassed a 4-6 record and have played average basketball. Week 3 will see the third different starting lineup as Coach Riley still hasn't found one he's comfortable with. The early standouts for the Heat have been Al Thornton (17ppg, 8 rbs) and Mickael Pietrus (20ppg); both have exceeded expectations and have endured themselves to the Miami faithful. Week 4 will see the return of John Salmons and David West to Miami after being traded in the offseason to the Lakers.
