Our (All)-Star

Harrison Barnes, the 2017 All Star of our Golden State Warriors.
It is time to have a look at his development and his great season so far.

Barnes is the only remaining player at the Warriors Roster that was on the team when GM MaiLo took over.
Now he is the star of the team, voted into the starting five of this year´s All Star Game in Charlotte.
He was also voted as player of the week twice this season.

The moment when Marcus Smart arrived in the Bay Area last season and hit the ground running most of us saw Smart as the leader and coming
star of the team. But Smart is having a real rough season so far, he lost his starting PG role to McConnell and now he lost
his starting spot to lead the second unit together with Dario Saric.
Maybe he will become a starter again in the next weeks, but he seemed to be unhappy with this development and with his own performance so far.

During that time Harrison Barnes developed into one of the 20 best players in the NLL.
He is a great scorer (6th in the NLL) and also have solid assist and rebounding numbers with few turnovers.
He draws many free throws and hitting them on 82%.
His PER value is 25.36 . This is by far the best value of all the Warriors rotation players this season.

Barnes is playing 6 minutes less per game this season, but improved his game and lead the Warriors team to its actual playoff spot.
He is the main reason for the actual success and hopes for the team.
With all the young guys around him (and he is still only 24!) the team could go into a bright future.

Stay tuned Warriors fans and enjoy our Allstar Harrison Barnes!
