Magically Losing Your Love

  The last couple of weeks have been magically forgettable for the Orlando Magic, its players, its fans...heck anyone who has ever even heard of the team.  The weeks have been dreadful and ghastly.  The team forgot how to play even basic fundamentals of the game so revered and loved.

  With that said, the team showed life in the last few games.  They haven't been tearing up the league, so do not get that confused.  No, instead, they have been merely getting by over better teams (maybe not by record) with more of a teamwork pattern.

  From starting tip to final buzzer, the team has relied on it's core to propel them to victories in its last three games.  They have been fortunate also to have had a relatively healthy squad as well.  The premier players such as DeMar DeRozan and Kevin Love having been playing at an outstanding level, and the rookies such as Pascal Siakam and Malachi Richardson have been filling in nicely while providing important minutes as starters and off the bench.

  Rumor has it that the team will try to move the contract of Kevin Love over the next few weeks to maximize its value and get great value in return.  They are in serious talks with three teams as of today, but we all know how the negotiation process can go.  Love is a fan and organizational favorite, but, at this point, his value could possibly haul in a very bountiful return.  Some premier big men, young up-and-coming players and first round picks have been dangled at the team.  Advices tell us that some of the names being offered are ones that will come as a surprise and the team should grab one while it can.

  Love has been playing at an all-star level recently and his last few ratings updates have definitely indicated he is a premier power forward in this league.  The team would be self-serving in keeping the twenty eight year old forward from UCLA, but by all indications, he will be out of the team's locker room by this weekend.
