Bulls are Back

Bulls are Back

That's right, lace up those sneakers, because the Bulls are Back!

A new NLL season is now two weeks old, and the Bulls have been ok so far.

There has been some new faces, nail biting wins and losses, and some decent NLL basketball.

Right now this team is 4-5, .444 and in 11th place in the East, but that actually is the best position we have been in for quite some time, so this certainly isn't a doom and gloom article.

GM DazMan32 was busy in the off-season, drafting two lottery players in Dragan Bender and Buddy Hield. The former was always going to be a long term project, and the latter supposed to be a help now guy. While both have contributed nicely over the first two weeks, there NBA play hasn't been great, in fact they have barely played, so the ratings update wasn't kind.

For this reason, Buddy now finds himself out of the rotation until his NBA counterpart can find his lethal three point shot from college. Bender also has been moved from power forward to small forward, in the hope of creating some mismatches with his size.

The update was however kind to two of the Bulls free agency crop, in Trevor Booker and Evan Turner. Booker has been very solid in a starting power forward role, although the coaching staff are really trying to get him to stop taking jump shots and instead attack the rim.

Evan Turner was initially going to start at small forward, however he struggled with learning the offense (Pass the ball to Steph) and thus was sent to the bench to try and help the second unit, he will now get his chance to start after paying his dues and hopefully learning how we want to play.

Week 1 went as planned, losses to the incredibly tough Knicks, Bucks and Cavs. And wins over the two teams we wanted to beat, in the Hornets and Heat.

Week 2 saw a surprise victory over Cleveland which had Bulls fans everywhere talking, and a business as usual loss to the Bucks. A win over the Grizzlies was expected, but had to be fought hard for, and a tough loss to the Wizards was very costly, dropping the Bulls back below .500

GM DazMan32 and coach Hoiberg are working hard to get this team above .500, coach has made some strategic changes on both ends, and Daz just brought in some more outside fire power by trading Tony Allen to New Orleans for Marco Bellinelli.

Lets hope these changes pay off!
