Shooting Guard

Gary Harris:

Coming off an up and down rookie campaign, Harris entered the season with a bit of pressure on his shoulders. Expectations had been high on the young Spartan after GM Digga showed a lot of faith and reached 9 spots in the draft (compared to the NBA) to select him in the late lottery a year prior. What we got in Year number 2 was some promising signs. While it took a little while for the outstanding work Harris was displaying in practice to translat to actual NLL results, the 2nd half of the season showed glimpses of what the GM had envisaged from Day 1. By the final week of the season Harris was nearing 18ppg on reliable shooting numbers.
Gary has played just one Summer League game, putting up 22 Points, 4 Boards, 1 Assist and 2 Steals. He has been added to the USA Select Team to practise with Team USA next weekend heading into the Rio Olympics. Don't be surprised to see Gary Harris in the contest for Most Improved Player next season.

Best Game-

All data pertaining to Individual game results have now been lost. Reports are it was a terrible blaze in the 2016 filing draw at NLL head office. Luckily, end of season totals were saved.

Outlook with the Hornets-

Charlotte management are firm believers in Gary Harris, which explains why they were comfortable letting Eric Gordon go in a mid season trade. Although a lottery pick was used to select another combo guard in the recent draft, we expect to see Harris used as a focal point for the team next year.

Eric Gordon (Honorable Mention):

Gordon gets a mention here as he came out scorching for the first 8 weeks of the season in Charlotte. He took out a Player of the Week Award in Week 1 and carried the Hornet's to a 14-14 record (continuing on to 20-34 record without him)

Best Game-

We know that Egor did put up a 49 Point Game very early in the season when he was one of the only offensive weapons that Charlotte had.

Outlook with the Hornets-

While Gordon was moved on to Utah, the piece that was acquired for him has now turned out to be Jamal Murray out of Kentucky. Like Gordon, Murray is predominantly known as a scorer and the Hornet's cling to the hope that he can one day hit the numbers that Gordon has in his career.
