Jerian Grant – Season in review

Taken with the 17^th pick in the 2015 NLL draft Jerian was held to a very high standard pre-draft with the hopes he would become a key member of the team early on, that didn’t eventuate with real struggles early with confidence in his perimeter shooting

Those struggles continued throughout the season limiting his time on court. Until the final three weeks of the NLL campaign where he was thrust into the starting unit. Where Jerian performed amicably

With LA still fine tuning its roster and Jerian still learning his place in the team, his role moving forward isn’t quite clear however a lot will depend on how he performs during the summer

And more than anything his confidence which was clearly far greater to close out the season than what was displayed early on and showed on the score board

GM Andrew hopes Jerian continues to improve his game and more importantly his shooting leading into the 2016/17 campaign as he looks to Jerian as a key member of the team’s future, specifically with the likely intention D’Angelo Russell will switch permanently to the starting 2 guard spot.

KFWB News talk Radio: - How did you find the rookie season?

Jerian Grant: - â€œit was a learning experience for sure, to be honest I am disappointed with my own performance but I’ll be hitting the gym as soon as possible to prepare for next year!”

Fox Sports News:- what will you be working on, do you see yourself as a starter here in LA

Jerian Grant:- â€œGM Andrew and coaching staff want me to be running the offence so that my number one goal though I’ll be working on everything, everything needs to improve if I want a career here in the NLL, I believe I can be the starter here for sure but I’ll leave that up to the GM to decide. Right now I just want to get a lot better all around.”
