Infirmary

Buck are facing serious injury issues lately, down some big man depth and two starters. it's the first time this season that the  starting lineup and depth is decimated.

Week one without KCP went ok-ish, an (un?)expected loss to the Nets, a team so specialized in killing top teams, that it's almost an honour losing to them, a tight win over MAgic, who inexplicitly took Buck-killer Prigioni (11 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists on 4-5 and +1 in this game) out of the starting lineup, an easy win over Wizards, and a match against TWolves still in waiting.

Zach Lavine took over the starting SG spot from KCP, finally getting the starting spot on the tema. Zach is solid this year of the bench, with 7 ppg in 18 minutes on solid 0.54 ts%, but he really likes the spotlight and flourished as a starter. He did what KCP does, only a bit better, scoring a bit more and assisting a lot more. The competition wasn't top of the line ofcourse, but there's another week to explore his role.

Gortat was the other guy that got the starting nod. He is clearly a starting center in this league which he proved with his 15 points, 11 rebounds, 1.3 blocks on 55% shooting performance. The coach still thinks he's better as a super sub destroying opposing second string centers while also playing next to KAT a bit.

The third big change was KAT, who was moved to the PF spot. Results are kind of weird. he was solid in training sessions before this week, being his usual self, but something clicked the wrong way and he's having an extremely quiet week. His defense and rebounding is still there, including a 19 rebound performance vs Wizards, but offense vanished somewhere. He only takes 4 shots per game and misses most of them, he even missed 3 of 4 freebies. Rookie wall?

The other guy that didn't like the change was Harris. He can't find success off the bench. His usage is down and efficiency is comparable to Towns, with a few more shots taken. Harris got some ankle issues again (or trade issues in the feeder league) and will stay on the IL next week.

Some adjustments will be undertaken for week 13. Gortat will go back to bench, but with an increased workload. Giannis will move to the PF full time and Gordon will start at SF, a week after being demoted to towel waving duties. Vaughn might see first  real minutes after week 6.
