Looking Ahead - Shooting Guard

MAVERICKS NEWS – SHOOTING GUARDS

So the NLL season has finally kicked off and to date there have been some awesome games of basketball to watch. Every year people say that this is going to be the best NLL season yet, but this time it will actually be true. It is going to be extremely hard to predict what happens in the East and the West this season. Defending champs the LA Lakers started the season 0-3 (don’t expect this to continue as they will find their groove and be a force once again.) It will be one of those seasons with twists and turns that no one will expect.

Mountain View Once again Danny Green will get the starting gig for the Dallas Mavericks at the shooting Guard spot. A fan and GM favourite here in Dallas, Green got his well deserved pay day this off season signing a 3+1P contract with the Mavericks. The best thing about Danny Green is his versatility. Green can do it at both ends of the court and is one of the key parts to the Mavericks success this season. Having more of a down season last year compared to the 2013/2014 season, Green is determined to hit the courts running and help the mavericks to what they hope is an improved year.

Carlisle Says - “Since bringing Danny across to this team we have seen noting but improvement year in and year out. The kid works extremely hard and is set for another big year.”

Mountain View Allen Crabbe looks set to become more of a permanent player in the rotation this season for the Mavericks. Coming across from the Golden State Warriors last year and suiting up for 18 games, Crabbe has the potential to become a solid role player off the bench for the team. This kid is an amazing spot-up shooter. His technique is very pure as the ball just glides off his finger tips, and his 3 point range is outstanding too. With his length, he has the ability to be a great on-ball defender, but he needs to work on his dribble and ball control coming down the court.

Carlisle Says - “We look forward to giving Allen every opportunity to prove himself this season. We love his potential, but there is still a lot of work to do.
