Free Agency Outlook

As we continue our journey behind the curtain, and  I give your everything that’s been buzzing in the Utah Jazz Universe, I will talk about possible returning Free Agents, restricted FA’s and the upcoming FA strategy landscape for the Utah Jazz.

This is a deep talk, but I’ll try to sum it up for you guys. Starting with our pending return Unrestricted Free Agents, and we only have two of those in Andre Miller and Chuck Hayes. The negotiations on that front have been very slow, as they have a lot of options to choose from, being good players that can help any team, as far as I’ve heard, we are taking a “wait and see” approach.

There are rumors that Chuck will be leaving us and that he has “serious” interest, but we treat our Chuck Hayes’ like we treat our Derrick Rose’s around here so if he wants to sit down and talk, we’re up for it. As for Andre Miller, we have approached him about a possible deal and if he wanted to be here with us, but so far we have no indication that he’ll want to be a Jazz or play for another team.

Restricted FAs.

Those would be Kenneth Faried and Markieff Morris, they have qualifying offers. They are both players we will keep, and any offers will be matched (of course!), so don’t even bother, teams out there. Not much else to say here, moving on.

Future NLL Free Agency Period,

Well, first we’ll need to wait and see if we’ll even have roster spots available to be a player in it, not to mention that cap situation, which we are projecting to be close to the lux but just under. From what I’ve gathered so far, ideally, we’d like to add 2 players through FA that could help us now!! If we could find ourselves the scorer off the bench the team says they’ve been looking for, would be nice.
