He's been saying it for a long time: Just wait until the Suns are healthy. Well, we've laughed at Penny for a few years but the Suns are now emerging as one of the top teams to win it all this year. With his top Western Conference competitors hobbled, it may just be Pennywise's year. The Suns finish out the year the hottest team in the NLL.

GM Nenjabin took a page out of Donald Trump's playbook: just tell everyone that Kawhi Leonard has a sprained knee long enough that they will believe it. The Thunder have been hiding the fact that Kawhi is more hurt than they want to let on. He will be on-hand for first few playoff rounds but when the tough gets going, the team will be without their star now that it has come out he tore his ACL. Still, it has been a dream season for Nenjabin and the Thunder. They finish out on top in the West and even down a few guys, they remain dangerous.

Sixers finish as top team in the East in terms of PRs, but fell just shy of Giannis and the Bucks. Still, the Sixers beat them a few times this season. The Sixers have lost some games fully healthy near the end, calling their dominance into question. But they are still a heavy favorite to emerge from the East.

The Celts finish the season hot as the acquisition of Paul Millsap seemed to ignite something. They lost the first play-in game and now must face the New York Knicks for the 8th and final seed. It's going to be an exciting (and tense) for days for a team that looked DOA early in the season but finish as one of the hottest in the league.

The Hornets may have incurred a giant lux tax bill and now sit in the negative in terms of GM points, but it was likely worth it. Another top Eastern Conference contender, the Hornets finished in third place but look to wrest the EC title away from other top contenders. The absence of Jamal Murray really, um, stings, though.

Did GM Badwolf's pick greed jeopardize the defending champs' chances of repeating? Well, the Bucks did finish with the league's best record but the cast surrounding Giannis isn't the same. No more Spida, no more KAT. And for the champs to be sitting sixth in the season end's power rankings isn't what Bucks fans want to see. Perhaps no one will fall for Wolf's offers this time around. But maybe they should. Spida and KAT would look really good for the Bucks right about now.

In a shocking move, the Wizards shitcanned Gm Jmeyer (John Mayer?) right before the playoffs. Why? The team is hot, sizzling lately as things have gelled. But team brass didn't love the GM's lackadaisical approach to management, so they gave him the heave-ho. Can new GM GainertheTrainer will, um, muscle his way into the catbird seed and guide this team to postseason glory?

Things finally bounced the right way for Poor Old Darko. Picking up Wiggins at the trade deadline gave the Knicks the boost it needed and beating the Hawks in the play-in game secured them a chance to play with the big dawgs. It has been a long time since NLL luminaries such as Yi Jinalian, Jamario Moon and Alonzo Gee brought Darko a title. Could it be time again for the longtime GM?

Someone will say...you know what? That shit is getting old. The Pacers are looking strong this year with Luka coming into his own. The team may be lower in the top 10 but the Pacers could very well go deep in the playoffs, especially if they dispatch the heavily talented Nets early on.

The Pistons made an end-of-season splash by ganking the Sixers in the final week. The team was looking to make a statement going into the playoffs and that they did. They also turned around and whomped an overconfident Celtics squad in the first playoff game. If GM Justin can just learn to submit his lineup properly week-in and week-out, the Pistons could very well be in the conversation of league-best teams.

The Rockets boast a "new" GM who actually made it for a good deal of time. GM PatrikShehu looks like a good catch, even if he did ride Jokic for a good deal of the season. The Rockets did finish 44-28 and really do have a good chance of making waves in the West with all the injuries. Good luck to the Rockets. 3,2,1...ugh you get it.

With so much talent, why so low? As Nets GM pointed out to me, the team had the worst final 10 games of all the playoff teams in the East. The Nets did have to shed some talent to avoid a quadrillion dollar lux fine but six top 100 ranked players should be playing better than they are. Lots of questions to answer soon: Is Curry really shooting good? Is Dontas too soft to start? Are the Nets really as good as they look on paper? Either way- the team should move Fox in the offseason for a legit two. The IND-BRKN series should be a cracker.

The Clips have had a few knocks this season and head into the postseason bruised and battered. Dipo isn't coming back. Jaylen Brown is gone. Kemba will only play for a bit. Most of all, longtime GM Andrew left town. Will new guy Felix have a solution to battle the injury bug? The Clips are deep to win. We just have to see if Felix has the commitment and the mettle to find the right combos.

Fans are still questioning Anthony Davis at SF and wondering just much Leeroy's heart is still in San Antonio. The GM has been in the league for 18+ years but we haven't heard much from him this season though his simming has been a big help. The team also lucked out with Lamelo Ball coming from a supposed season-end injury. But something about AD at SF doesn't sit well with us. And he has also been awful fragile as of late. The Spurs make the playoff, but do they escape the first round?

Memphis is just kinda meh. Mehmphis. They are the middle of the pack with no huge stars now that KAT is gone. They are also fighting for their lives after losing the first play-in game to the Blazers by a lot. We'll see if their postseason dreams survive very soon.

Denver is also fighting to survive and will have to face the Grizzlies. The team has a lot of little guards and not much else having traded away franchise cornerstone Paul Millsap to the Celts and Tristan Thompson for Joe Ingles. Even if the Nuggets sneak into the playoffs at 8th seed, we don't see them getting very far.

The Bulls also finish middle of the pack, not a bad spot for a team still searching for an identity. GM Shams came in and flipped his roster and then flipped it again and then tried to flip it again. "No more trades," he cautioned towards the end. Yeah, right. We don't believe it. Hopefully the team stabilizes because was a great addition to the NLL. Pick a direction and try it out a bit.

The Blazers have the loudest PR department in the league. And for as much as they trumpet their favorite players, they are soon sent out of town. Follow the thread of trades and you will see that Blazers are kinda worse off than before. See what they gave up for Gallinari and then what they got back. Coby White 4eva? Well, the season wasn't a total failure. The Warriors wanted nothing more than to make the lotto. But with the weak backend of the Western Conference (all play-in teams sub-.500), the Warriors almost blew it by being TOO good. All's well that ends well, though. The Warriors missed the playoffs by a hair but now have a (very very small) chance of getting Cade Cunningham this summer.

The Hawks are also looking at a new GM now that longtime (but often silent) skipper Banderson is gone. The Hawks already done for the season following a play-in loss to the Knicks but the team should shape up well if the new GM is any good. Eric Bledsoe just put his value through the roof.

Another silent GM leaves an opening with Toronto as longtime GM Carlspackler finally vanishes. The man hated Discord so much that he never checked in and it ultimately killed his love for the league. The Raps said the new GM needs to be active on Discord....or else. It was a bad season for the Raps, especially with LaMarcus Aldrdige retiring in the middle.
