PLAYER OF THE WEEK WATCH - Week 5

Stephen Curry

The Baby faced Assassin came out this week firing dropping 30+ points in all five games with a huge game against OKC on their home floor. He averaged 7.2 3pt makes shooting close to 50% which is crazy even for the league leader in pretty much anything to do with scoring. The problem is he doesn't get to the line and the question has to be asked in terms of does he make he's team mates better? Sources say he needs more help then his All star caliber running mate in Klay and to drop 3 out of 5 is worrying.

It's already been well documented how pivotal Big Val has been leading the Magic to 16-5 good for 3rd seed in the East. It's a Cinderella story of sorts and those close to the franchise worry that the new adjustments may see this story come apart at the stroke of midnight. One of the most elite big men in the game he's a top 10 player and this week came out and demolished opponents dropping 30/10 a game while getting it done on the defensive end.Despite a dominant game against Utah Big Val failed to get them over the line to complete the clean sweep. This is about as much as we can fault this guys performance but as the franchise player he has to be accountable.

Alex Len

Alex Len is the poster boy for glitch big men in this league and hasn't slowed down as he continue to demolish front courts all over the league. Leads the league in free throws made and attempted and is top 5 in rebounds. What's impressive is his ability on the defensive end not just his capability to score at insane efficiency. He dropped 43 against the Sixers on their home court and reminded everyone he means business.they've won 1 game over the last 9 which after their crazy start to the season seems just straight up out of order. They nearly got swept in week 5 without the heroics from Len against the Sixers... The Pels hang on tender hooks hoping the latest adjustments don't send them to the bottom of the standings.

Nikola Vucevic

-
The Lakers continue to dominate largely behind this man as he shows no signs of slowing down. He continues to be the defensive anchor and good for 26/15 a night while getting to the line. The Lakers were strong on the road which is whats needed for a true contender as Vuce cleans up the glass and gets its done offensively. While being good on the road is needed, being able to protect your home floor is crucial. The Lakers dropped both their home games against the Knicks and the Rockets and haven't seemed to find any consistency.
