1) Glenn Robinson III
Why you should sign him: A former first round pick, Glenn
Robinson III still has some upside. He is getting minutes in the NBA and he is
still improving. Could be a worth a flyer.
Why you shouldn’t: Have you seen his shooting ratings?
Shudder.
Can You Get Him?: Probably not. He’s restricted and
Brooklyn owns Robinson’s rights. But would he really match a bid of 35 points
for this guy? Considering he is playing half-decent in the NBA, Wizkid just
might.
2) Will Barton
Why you should sign him: Unlike Robinson, Barton actually has
some decent shooting ratings. He is also averaging more than 13 ppg in the NBA
which should drive up his ratings. Barton has always been a bit undervalued. This
could be his year to shine!
Why you shouldn’t: He still isn’t the guy you want
taking the clutch shot.
Can You Get Him?: If you’re interested, go for it. He’s
restricted but Laddas doesn’t have the GM points to match a big bid. He’s also
full up with 15 players, so bidding on Barton will force him into an
uncomfortable situation. Maybe place that bid and see what he’s willing to give
you to take it off….
3) James Anderson
Why you should sign him: Well, he’s starting for the Kings
right now in the NBA, but that’s mainly because Ben McLemore sucks. Anderson
used to be a coveted asset in the league, so he has the skills. I am actually
surprised no one grabbed him in the first wave.
Why you shouldn’t: McLemore may suck, but Anderson is
sucking more actually.
Can You Get Him?: Yeah, but two folks have bids on him.
A few GM points could help you and there aren’t too many better options at the
two out there right now.
4) Justin Holiday
Why you should sign him: Maybe someone will mistake him for
Jrue? Just kidding. Justin actually has some half decent shooting ratings and
he is averaging almost 20 mpg in the NBA. He is a warm body that might score
you some points.
Why you shouldn’t: He certainly isn’t Jrue. Justin has
always been a fringe player and always a prime candidate for waiving.
Can You Get Him?: Sure, but he has two bids on him
right now. Funny how no one wanted this guy back on Saturday and now it’s a
multiple bid situation. The times have changed!
5) Sasha Vujacic
Why you should sign him: After taking some time off from the
NBA, Sasha Vujacic is back. But does anyone care? He is starting at the two for
the Knicks, so he will be guaranteed active for you if you need a shooting guard.
Why you shouldn’t: He has been awful in the NBA,
shooting around 30%. No ratings to see yet, but with sort of performance they
will likely be pretty stinky.
Can You Get Him?: Two bids. Detroit won’t even be able
to get this scrub now.
