The only question I want to ask Tim Duncan is where he
had found the fountain of youth. He’s 38 years old and one of the arguably best
big guys this league has ever seen. Numbers tell the truth: he averages double-double
17.2 points and 10.2 rebounds per game, named player of the week 2 times, and 6
times player of the game.
He’s not really the best athlete in the league, so the
only reason of his success, except magic, is that he’s a hard worker. I’m not
sure if you will ever meet the guy who will be as dedicated to the game as
Timmy D. Of course, you won’t see him dunking or running coast-to-coast that
much, but he’s perfect on other aspects of the game, on which age doesn’t
really matter, but skill does. If he plays with you on the post, both on defense
and offence, you have no chance against this monster. He has the most
incredible post hook which I ever seen. Maybe the only problem of Tim Duncan is
that he’s not able to choose between being power forward or a center.
Without any arguments that big fella deserves being a
starter in all-star game. Despite being a great basketball player he shows how
good he as a teammate, both on and off the court. While he is a monster on the
court, he is the simple and easy-going person in life with the best sense of humor.
He is a leader and a masterpiece of Dallas Mavericks and I’m sure this team is more
than happy to have him.
I feel very sad that Duncan era in the league will be
over soon. It’s hard to keep up with young and athletic players, but I’m sure
Tim Duncan is going to please us with his performance for another few wonderful
years.
