James Harden AKA “The Beardâ€
James Harden has taken his game to a new level,
especially in the our sister league but nobody can complain about his NLL
conterpart either.
He´s clearly taken over as the Big Kahuna of
the New York Knicks clubhouse, and you can just see that playing the Mecca of
Basketball hasn´t affected his game at all.
Harden is currently averaging 28.2 ppg, 4.6 apg, 4.0 rpg and 1.3 spg,
and currently ranks in the top 25 in an amazing SEVEN categories.
To top it all off, Harden ranks 6th in the MVP
rating and certainly has to be considered in all talks for the most prestigious
award in the league as he is the best player on one of the best teams the NLL
has to offer, and that in itself is quite the achievement.
Which brings us to now, when James Harden was
selected among the General Managers in the NLL to be in the select group to start
the All-Star Game for the Eastern squad. The East, which by the way, is the
best conference in the virtual basketball universe, so we are talking about the
elite here!
“The Beard†puts fear in every opponent he
faces on the offensive end. His mean crossover is a nightmare for defenders
(and he faces the best in every single night) and consistently keeps his man
off balance. Most recent display was humiliating spaniard Ricky Rubio on
National Television as a proof of his skillset.
The definition of the fan-coined term “Fear The
Beard†is totally justified because Harden has become this unstoppable monster
that is on a mission to get buckets at anybody, anytime, anywhere. Where he
lacks the effort and can be considered one of the only holes in his game is on
the offensive side of the ball, where he´s been called “soft†and has been
caught on quite a few gifts where he doesn´t even try to stand in the way of
his man. Perhaps he´s already thinking about his next basket, who knows?
Regardless of how hard he plays D, James Harden
is a true Superstar and his kind belong in the All-Star Game!
We congratulate him on his nomination and wish
him and the Knicks the best of luck!
