Year!

|
The Spurs couldn’t put a foot wrong this season under the direction of
their fearless leader Leeroy and it paid dividends as they flew out the gate
with a league best record most of the way before a few injuries slowed the win
column enough to make other teams think they had a chance, for a while. But,
the injuries subsided, the players returned and they ploughed through the final
match-up of the West before taking the title in Madison Square Garden in Game 7
to cap off a fairytale season. You’d think a GM with a talented roster that
came out of the gate like the Spurs did would hold on the moves a bit, but
nope, Leeroy not only claimed the title but shifted and sorted pieces along the
way to continue retooling and getting better for now and the future. At this
point, the Spurs would have to be the favourites again for the 2017/18 season.
